Use code 711 or 722 to rank Lycée Français #1 on your school list

Submit your application by the stated deadline and await your results

You don't have to live in Orleans Parish to attend LFI.

LFI is a statewide public charter school that welcomes eligible students from anywhere in Louisiana.

No matter where you live, every family applies through the NOLA Public Schools Common Enrollment Process (NCAP). This is the required application portal for admission to LFI.

Open to students across Louisiana

  • All applications are submitted through NCAP
  • Pre-K4 & Kindergarten: no prior French required
  • Grades 1–12: French proficiency assessment required 

Enrollment Facts:

  • Note: Lycée Français International de la Louisiane (LFI) serves all of Louisiana. Families living outside of Orleans Parish are welcome to apply. NOLA Public Schools Common Enrollment Process (NCAP) is the citywide lottery for the majority of charter schools in New Orleans.
  • OPEN ENROLLMENT IS OPEN — APPLY BY SEPTEMBER 4 and  Mid-Year Transfer applications open October 1, 2026 through NOLAPS. 
  • Are there language requirements for applicants?
    • Students who are applying for Pre-K4 and Kindergarten are not required to have prior knowledge of the French language.
    • Students who are applying for Grades 1 and above must pass a French language proficiency exam in order to be eligible for admission.  Please refer to our proficiency exam guide.
